Ursa: The Celestial Goddess of Life

'Ursa: The Celestial Goddess of Life' is an acrylic painting created on baltic birch wood. Ursa is my ideal and internalized vision of life and prosperity. She was created out of a dream I had about the creation of the universe and a goddess named Ursa who was to take over as queen of the celestial side of life. This traditional painting took a year to start and complete the vision of Ursa and required two months of preparation. This is my favorite and proudest piece this year as I challenged myself with different traditional techniques. I hope you see her value as well as I do.
